It was a long wait as many journalists from different publications were in queue to meet the Singapore Idol finalist, Jonathan Leong.
Answering questions in his low husky voice, Jonathan looked a little weary as he was nursing a flu at the same time. However, he was very friendly and attentive throughout the interview, showing his professional attitude.
To combat the flu and get prepared for the finals, Jonathan is drinking more water and dousing himself with honey water. He is also trying to get as much sleep as possible, trying to stay focused and not get too overwhelmed by the competition.
Jonathan knows that he needs to get well and will rest more. Although he is feeling stressed up, he will retain his cool and stay calm.
It is always important to stay calm and pick your self up if things go wrong, said Jonathan.
When asked about who is more of a ladies man between him and Hady Mirza, the other finalist in Singapore Idol, Jonathan answered that it had to be Hady, as Hady is smooth and even uses his voice to attract the lady by singing to the girl. Besides answering questions on Hady, Jonathan was appreciative when he mentioned his fans and supporters.
I didn't imagine I could come this far, and it is all because of them, said Jonathan, deeply moved.
For the Singapore Idol finals, Jonathan has decided to stick to a similar dress style with nothing too outlandish. Although he is keeping mum about the song titles for the finals, Jonathan aims to be more sincere with the songs, putting more expression into his songs.
I want to use my feelings, mean what I sing and bare my soul, said Jonathan.
